Beauty Brand Review: BIG EVE by Top Chinese KOL Zhang Dayi

BIG EVE is a beauty brand founded by China’s top KOL Zhang Dayi (or Eve Zhang) in 2018. In addition to being a top ranked KOL and the founder of both a fashion brand and beauty brand, Zhang is also the CMO of NASDAQ-listed influencer incubator Ruhnn Holdings.

Zhang originally became famous for her Taobao clothing store which ranked in the top 10 in women’s apparel during Alibaba’s 11.11 shopping festival for multiple years in a row. In 2018 she crossed over into a new industry, launching her beauty brand BIG EVE on Tmall. Within the first 5 minutes, she sold 10k cleansers, and in the next 6 following days, the store brought in 2M RMB in sales.

Today we test out one of the brand’s core products, the body scrub cream. What do we think of the product? Why are we interested in Zhang Dayi? Watch to find out!
